Istanbul restaurants usually prepare a special gala programme for the evening of 31 December: a set gala menu, a defined drinks package and entertainment that runs through the midnight countdown. Unlike an ordinary dinner, the price is set per person as a package. All four venues listed on this page are on the historic peninsula, in the Fatih district, and offer the same published 2027 gala menu and programme; what differs is the location, the floor and the atmosphere.
Sultanahmet, around Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, is the natural choice if you want to spend the night surrounded by the Old City. Loti Roof Lounge has a terrace floor on Divan Yolu with views over the historic peninsula, while Loti Restaurant & Bar offers the same programme in an indoor dining room at a lower price.
Laleli lies between Beyazıt and Aksaray on the T1 tram line, a few stops from Sultanahmet. One building on Tevfikpaşa Street holds two different nights: Lotiz Lounge on the seventh floor has a terrace facing the historic peninsula and the Sea of Marmara, and Zurich Bistro & Bar on the ground floor hosts a street-level gala night with a bistro feel.
Terraces are chosen for the view and the atmosphere, but late December evenings can be cold and wet; seating is allocated on the night and depends on the weather. Indoor rooms and ground floors make for a more predictable night, easy access and a more comfortable setting for families with children. If a table with a view matters to you, mention it in your request; a specific table or a Bosphorus view cannot be guaranteed.
All four venues have published the same menu this year: cold and hot starters, a generous cheese platter, sushi, rocket salad with tulum cheese, beef tenderloin as the main course and a special-cut baklava for dessert. The price includes a welcome drink and unlimited local alcoholic and soft drinks (vodka, gin, wine, beer and rakı); imported and premium brands are not included. The programme runs from 20:00 to 03:00 with a live DJ, oriental and dance shows. The published programme also includes fireworks; visibility from every table cannot be guaranteed.
Prices are per adult: Loti Roof Lounge €220, Lotiz Lounge €180, Loti Restaurant & Bar and Zurich Bistro & Bar €125. Child prices and whether children can attend are confirmed with your booking. Transfers are not included, so we recommend planning your journey home in advance.
